Who we are
The Cornwall Community Regeneration Forum is a joint business and community initiative. Its purpose is to empower and assist Cornish communities to deliver sustainable development that meets their needs.
We are a professional group of Architects, Planners, Building Research Consultants and Engineers working with the construction industry. We are developing alternative technologies for high performance affordable house construction and are identifying funding for rural development. This knowledge and expertise will help local community groups to bring forward much needed development for their area.
How we work
The Cornwall Community Regeneration Forum respond to invitations from local communities to assess with them their needs in terms of housing and other community based initiatives without fees. Our initial costs are covered by our sponsors from the building industry. A number of businesses are supporting local people by providing on-going professional advice and expertise in order to bring forward the development that their community wants.
We will use this forum as a way of communicating our progress and for giving feedback on comments made by you.
How to use the forum
This forum is a place for members of those communities to interact and communicate their wants, needs and aspirations with each other and with the professional partners involved.
This will only work if you help it work by sharing your views and help move this exciting initiative forward.
The communities
At present the group are working closely with the community within Veryan. At a recent meeting with the residents we were given the green light to investigate further the possibility of setting up a community regeneration trust in their village.
